Comms for Kids Tutoring

Specialist literacy and communications support to help children and young people to become confident communicators, critical thinkers and change makers.

One to One Tutoring

Focussed one to one literacy support away from busy classrooms to help develop your child’s communication skills, with a strong emphasis on learning activities that encourage students to think and to explore their views across all genres.

Whether reading for information, writing a report, contributing to class discussions or delivering project presentations, support will be tailored to individual needs to help every child find, and have greater confidence in, their own voice.

In person (Gourock) and online sessions are available for Primary 3 through to S1/2 support. After school and evening sessions are mainly for school pupils and there is provision for home education in the daytime.  Small groups (2-3) are also available.

'Think Debate' Group Sessions

'Think Debate' is a package of literacy, communications and citizenship support to empower groups of children with the skills and knowledge to lead in making a difference.  They can also be adapted for community groups of all ages.

Strongly embedded in children's rights, citizenship and democracy learning, children will explore the different ways to identify and influence change, whether at peer, school and community level, or in wider Scotland and the world. Importantly, literacy and communications support will ensure that every child has the skills to do so.

The online sessions are available to schools, youthwork and home education groups and for any children who would benefit from this support.  In person sessions can be delivered in the Inverclyde and surrounding area.

All sessions are age appropriate (P4-S1/2) and shaped to the needs of individual groups.
